CCC-Symposium 2019

19 invited talks, 6 contributed talks, 2 poster sessions with 25 poster presentations each and 3 days full of fruitful scientific discussions - this positive balance can be drawn from our first international symposium on "Confinement-Controlled Chemistry", which was held from 16th to 18th September 2019 in Bochum (ZEMOS). A comprehensive conference program with inspiring science in the fields of organic, inorganic, physical and theoretical chemistry was offered to the participants, which contributed to understand confinement-induced effects on chemical reactions across disciplines. As a result of the positive feedback from the experts and early-stage researchers, more events on this emerging topic will follow in the near future! We thank all invited speakers, chairpersons, participants and the symposium support for the contribution to the success of this event. In particular, we thank the organizing committee of the graduate school (Niclas Blanc, Sarah Funke, Julien Rowen, Kevin Wonner) for several months of organization. The efforts definitely have been worth it!
