Annual Meeting 2025
The second retreat of the third generation of the Research Training Group took place at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum on September 15-17, 2025 and included the 3rd International Symposium on "Confinement-Controlled Chemistry" (Co-Co Chem 2025) and a 2-day lab exchange.

Lab Exchange
PhD students had the opportunity to visit the laboratories and workspaces of their colleagues during this year’s lab exchange program.
The full-day event allowed the participants to explore a variety of research environments and gain insight into the daily routines, setups, and methodological approaches used across different groups. By stepping into one another’s workspaces, the PhD students were able to observe how different aspects of research are carried out — from experimental procedures and instrument handling to computational workflows, data processing, and problem-solving strategies. The informal atmosphere made it easy to ask questions, exchange experiences, and explore unfamiliar topics. Overall, the lab exchange was a rewarding and engaging experience, strengthening connections between research groups and giving all participants an opportunity to broaden their scientific outlook.
